Causal organism– Polyphagotarsonimus latus

Symptoms– Since mites are sucking pests, they mainly affect leaves and fruit parts. Affected leaves curl downward and attain an inverted boat shape. Leaves turn dark grey in colour, leaf sheath gets reduced, and flowering stops which leads to a reduction in yield.

Mode of spread– Infestations spread from plant to plant by adults.

Control measure– 1. Spray Phasalone 3ml/litre or
