Sat2Farm mobile application, a satellite-based agricultural smartphone application, is primarily focused to help the users for understanding farm health, providing pests advisory, irrigation advisory as well as dealing with the weather forecast. It is a simple application where the user plots his/her farm boundary and the requirements about the farm are provided through the same.

How does a user add farms?

The user can add a new farm by clicking on the Add New(+) button in the home screen section. There are two options available 1) walk, and 2) Draw while users wish to upload their farms. The application will ask you to enable location permission if it is not enabled, and it is extremely mandatory for uploading the farms. 

• On selection of Draw option

1. A new screen is shown where the user needs to enter farm details like farm name (user understandable), crop type grown, crop age & then Submit the details.
2. a Google map is shown on screen & the user needs to find his farm in the map & draw the shape of the farm on the map & Click finish to register the farm.

•     On selection of the walk option

1. A new screen is shown where the user needs to enter farm details like farm name (user understandable), crop type grown, crop age & then Submit the details.
2. A Google map with the user’s current location is shown, the user needs to click the start button & walk along the boundary of the farm to register the coordinates of the farm & Click finish to register the farm.

Users can also upload someone’s  farm by enabling “Not your farm?” and insert his/her neighbors phone number.
