Satellites can help in saving the vanishing water
An aquifer is a water-bearing stratum that releases water in appreciable amounts. Wells are usually drilled into aquifers to fetch water. Aquifers are one of the most important sources of freshwater. Abstraction of groundwater through excessive pumping at a rate faster than it’s recharging rate will result in the overexploitation or persistent depletion of the resource. With the aim of managing the depleting natural resources, government and, other policy-making agencies have implemented laws and fines on the overexploitation. The proper implementation of these would require accurate and reliable information on the levels of groundwater. With the emergence of satellite sensors, that measures gravity anomalies, groundwater levels can be measured with much ease.
Satyukt analytics, Pvt Ltd expert in remote sensing is capable of analyzing groundwater levels and can provide reliable information on the variation of groundwater levels with the help of satellite and historical data. Satyukt’s constitute team and advisors with vast scientific experience gathered over decades in India and abroad and all set to provide all-weather high spatiotemporal resolution multi-satellite data with high precision.
