Spatiotemporal variation of soil moisture

Soil moisture is one of the important components for the growth of the crop. Knowledge of spatiotemporal variation of soil moisture is of utmost importance as it helps in understanding the health of crops and can thereby help in crop yield prediction

Here at Satyukt, we provide Soil moisture at different levels from country to Farm level.  By creating the above image we helped one of our crop insurance clients to compare the taluk level long term soil moisture. The study is performed for Mandsuar district in Madhya Pradesh to predict the soybean crop yield.

The above soil moisture maps are prepared by Satyukt Analytics by merging active and passive microwave soil Moisture algorithm (MAPSM) (Tomer et al., 2016)2 employing satellite sensed data in near real-time. Satyukt provides high spatiotemporal maps employing MAPSM and can deliver data in near real-time under all-weather conditions.
