A helping hand for Rajkot farmers to choose correct Crop Sowing Window

Combined study of NDVI (Vegetation Index)  and SM (Soil Moisture) has proved to choose the optimal sowing window for crops.

The above study is done for Rajkot district in Gujarat.Rajkot has received close to normal rainfall from 15th June 10th August The relative soil moisture is found to be increased in most of the Taluks from 31st 2019 to 10th August 2019.  But NDVI, which indicates the health of the crop, has decreased. This may be inundation (rising and spreading of water) caused due to rainfall which in turn has affected the health of the crops.
