Engaged in Research with commercialization potential: Bestowed by BIRAC

First published on October 12, 2018

After the start of our new venture, we knew this year is going to be great but didn’t expect such a strong start! Within a few months of our operation, we have been presented a grant from BIRAC, which is a huge recognition for the work we are doing in the field of Agriculture.

Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) set up by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India with a vision “To Stimulate, foster and enhance the strategic research and innovation capabilities of the Indian biotech industry, particularly start-ups and SME’s. The council acts as an Interface Agency to strengthen and empower the emerging Biotech companies to undertake strategic research and innovation for the creation of affordable products addressing nationally relevant product development needs. BIRAC is all about encouraging novel ideas that have commercialisation potential and that evolve out from start-ups or academic spin-offs. This strategy is fulfilled through a funding scheme called Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) which is available to scientist-entrepreneurs from research institutes, academia, and startups. The BIG grant has been awarded to our team for the innovative ideas in the field of Agritech.

The team of Satyukt Analytics is extremely thankful and proud of this recognition. This recognition would help us to boost our Reseach and development activities, and will also enable us to retrieve our products at a very fine resolution which will be useful to farmers.
